Every August, the Jamaica Association in Switzerland (JAS) organizes a picnic by the lake in Morges, Parc de Vertou in honour of Jamaica’s Independence Day (celebrated in Jamaica on August 6).

Please do come out with family and friends. Bring a dish (savoury/ salad/ rice), some drinks or something to grill. Desserts are also VERY welcome! Bring enough for yourself and a little to share.

Jamaica Association in Switzerland

Our non-profit association was founded in 2005 by eight Jamaicans residing in Switzerland who wished to commemorate Bob Marley on his 60th birth anniversary.

OUR WORK

Along with being a focal point for Jamaicans in Switzerland, we support many early childhood education projects in Jamaica. Our recent donation was towards improving the waterworks system for the  Whitehall Primary School in St. Thomas.

Donation

Do you wish to significantly contribute to helping the children of today be responsible leaders of tomorrow? We encourage you to join with us in support of improving the educational infrastructure and learning environment for the children of Jamaica.
